Kristin Kreuk : Lana Lang of Smallville

Every Monday - Friday on 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm, Trans7 our local channel is broadcasting TV series, Smallville. The story of Clark Kent in his pre- Superman days in small town of Smallville, Kansas. By that time, Clark’s object of desire is Lana Lang, his charming higschool friend. The girl who plays the role of Lana Lang is Kristin Kreuk. Smallville proved to be a giant step for her acting career. She had several roles in TV series and she also appeared in a movie “Partition” with Neve Campbell and Jimi Mistry. Next year we will see her again on widescreen, she’ll play as Chun Li in Street Fighter : Legend of Chun Li.

Kristin was born on 30 December 1982 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She has such a unique exotic face, like asian but little bit westerner. That’s because her father is a Dutch and her mother is Chinese Indonesian. Her mixed ethnicity made her attractive in a highly distinct way. She’s not too famous yet but her name sometimes listed in the 100 most sexiest women for some world’s magazine.

I’ve seen her movie “Partition” last year, it was a sad love movie. In that movie she played as Nasheem Khan, a 17 year old Muslim girl that separated from her family when they tried to across the border going to Pakistan. By that time, August 1947, India is granted independence. A new border is drawn between Hindu-dominated India and Muslim-dominated Pakistan. Being lost, she was found by Gian Singh and put her under his protection. Gian Singh is 38 year-old career soldier who resigns his commission with the British Indian Army and returns to his childhood village, near the border with Pakistan. Haunted by the memories of war, he seeks a quiet life of farming, solitude and prayer. Very sad ending for a new beginning.
